Product Overview
MAX3001EEUP+ is an 8-channel level translator that provides the level shifting necessary to allow data transfer in a multi-voltage system. Externally applied voltages, VCC and VL, set the logic levels on either side of the device. Logic signals present on the VL side of the device appear as a higher voltage logic signal on the VCC side of the device, and vice-versa. It uses an architecture specifically designed to be bidirectional without the use of a directional pin. It features an EN input that, when low, reduces the VCC and VL supply currents to <lt/> 2µA. It also has ±15kV ESD protection on the I/O VCC side for greater protection in applications that route signals externally. It is used in applications such as CMOS logic-level translation, cell phones, SPI™ and MICROWIRE™ level translation, low-voltage ASIC level translation, smart card readers, cell phone cradles, portable POS systems, portable communication devices, low-cost serial interfaces, GPS, and telecommunications equipment.

- VCC shutdown supply current is 2µA maximum at (TA = +25°C, EN A/B = 0)
- I/O VCC - rise time is 25ns typical at (RS =50 ohm, C VCC =50pF)
- I/O VCC - fall time is 25ns typical at (RS =50 ohm, C VCC =50pF)
- Propagation delay (driving I/O VL) is 50ns maximum at (RS =50 ohm, C VCC =50pF)
- Channel-to channel skew is 10ns maximum at (RS =50 ohm, VCC =50p F, CVL =50pF)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, 20-pin TSSOP
