STCS2SPR

STCS2SPR is a BiCMOS constant current source LED driver designed to provide a precise constant current starting from a varying input voltage source. The main target is to replace discrete components solutions for driving LEDs in low-voltage applications such as 5V, 12V or 24V giving benefits in terms of precision, integration and reliability. The current is set with an external resistor up to 2A with a ±10% precision; a dedicated pin allows implementing PWM dimming. An open-drain pin output provides information on load disconnection conditions. Applications include LED constant current supplying for varying input voltages, low voltage lighting, small appliances LED lighting, and car LED lights.

• Output current is 2A typical at (RFB = 50mohm, VCC = 12V; IO = 100mA; TJ = -40°C to 125°C)
• Quiescent current (measured on VCC pin) is 1µA max at (shutdown mode; VCC = 5 to 12V)
• Drain leakage current is 10µA maximum at (shutdown; VDRAIN = 40V)
• Feedback voltage is 100mV typical at (IO = 0 to 2A, VCC = 12V; IO = 100mA; TJ = -40°C to 125°C)
• PWM input leakage current is 120µA max at (VPWM = 40V, VCC = 12V; IO = 100mA; TJ = -40°C to 125°C)
• Junction temperature range from -40°C to 150°C
