AD4005 is a high accuracy, high speed, low power, 16bit, Easy Drive, precision successive approximation register (SAR) analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) that operate from a single power supply, VDD. The reference voltage, VREF, is applied externally and can be set independent of the supply voltage. The AD4005 power scales linearly with throughput. Easy Drive features reduce both signal chain complexity and power consumption while enabling higher channel density. The reduced input current, particularly in high-Z mode, coupled with a long signal acquisition phase, eliminates the need for a dedicated ADC driver. Typical application includes electric power steering, electric vehicles, integrated starter generator/alternator, encoder emulation and automotive motion sensing and control.

- Oversampled dynamic range: 99.3dB for OSR = 2 and 126dB for OSR = 1024
- Single 1.8V supply operation with 1.71V to 5.5V logic interface
- Low power: 4.9mW at 1MSPS (VDD only) and 80μW at 10KSPS, 16mW at 2MSPS (total power)
- 10 lead MSOP package
- Operating temperature range from -40 to 125°C
