AD7908BRUZ-REEL is an 8bit, high-speed, low-power, 8-channel, successive approximation ADC. The part operates from a single 2.7V to 5.25V power supply and features throughput rates upto 1MSPS. The part contains a low noise, wide bandwidth track-and-hold amplifier that can handle input frequencies in excess of 8MHz. The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using active-low CS and the serial clock signal, allowing the device to easily interface with microprocessors or DSPs. The input signal is sampled on the falling edge of active-low CS and conversion is also initiated at this point. There are no pipeline delays associated with the part. It uses advanced design techniques to achieve very low power dissipation at maximum throughput rates. At maximum throughput rates, the device consumes 2mA maximum with 3V supplies; with 5V supplies, the current consumption is 2.7mA maximum.

- Differential nonlinearity is ±0.2LSB maximum at (AVDD = VDRIVE = 2.7V to 5.25V, REFIN = 2.5V)
- Gain error is ±0.2LSB maximum at (AVDD = VDRIVE = 2.7V to 5.25V, REFIN = 2.5V)
- Conversion time is 800ns maximum at (16 SCLK cycles with SCLK at 20MHz)
- Channel-to-channel isolation is -85dB typical at (fIN = 400KHz, AVDD = VDRIVE = 2.7V to 5.25V
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, 20-lead TSSOP package
