AFBR-S6EPY12211R is an ezPyro thin film digital (SMD) I²C pyroelectric IR sensor with 3.91μm / 90nm filter for flame detection. It combines a high-quality sensor with a high level of configurable electronic integration in a small SMD package. High sensitivity combined with fast response times ensures rapid and accurate flame detection. The high dynamic range allows detection of small and large flames, nearby or over larger distances. This sensor integrates a digital, current-mode read-out offering high responsivity over the full frequency range of flame flicker (3-30Hz). An industry standard I²C communication enables plug-and-play connectivity to microcontrollers and allows easy tuning and calibration. Applications include gas sensing: CO2, CO, CH4, NO, anaesthetics, refrigerants, exhaust gases etc, flame detection: CO2 and H2O gases from hydrocarbon or hydrogen flames, food and oil analysis: sugars, proteins, fats, base and acidic numbers, motion detection, gesture recognition.
