VL53L1CBV0FY/1 is a new generation Time-of-Flight ranging sensor with advanced multi-zone and multi-object detection. It is a state-of-the-art, laser-ranging, miniature sensor housed in a miniature and reflowable package. It integrates a single photon avalanche diode (SPAD) array, physical infrared filters and optics to achieve the best ranging performance in various ambient lighting conditions, with a wide range of cover windows. It uses ST’s latest generation direct ToF technology which allows absolute distance measurement whatever the target colour and reflectance. It provides accurate ranging above 4m and can work at fast speeds (60Hz), which makes it the fastest miniature ToF sensor on the market. Typical applications are laser assisted auto-focus (AF), video focus tracking assistance at 60Hz, dual camera stereoscopy and 3D depth assistance thanks to multi-zone measurement, presence detection (autonomous timed mode).
