ICS18L50N14POM1E1 is a proximity inductive sensor with E1-type approval. It is a complete family of high-performance inductive sensors that represents Carlo Gavazzi standard solution for outdoor mobile applications. Since they are installed on vehicles such as trucks or earth-moving equipment, they have to survive harsh environmental conditions, such as very high levels of shock and vibrations, low and high temperatures, high-level radio frequency noise, and frequent washing cycles with liquid cleaners and degreasers to remove grease and oils. Extended power supply ranges from 8 to 60VDC, to allow reliable operation in mobile equipment, where the power source is often only a conventional vehicle battery, requiring a very low voltage in some particular situations. It is used in applications such as trucks, earth-moving equipment, agriculture machines, mobile cranes, and buses.
