TLS850A4TEV50ATMA1 is an OPTIREG™ linear voltage regulator. It features high performance, low dropout voltage, and ultra-low quiescent current. With only 4.3 µA typical quiescent current at a light load and an input voltage range of 3.7V to 40V, the device is perfectly suitable for automotive supply systems or other supply systems that are permanently connected to the battery. The loop concept combines fast regulation and very high stability while requiring only one small ceramic capacitor of 4.7µF at the output. The operating range starts at an input voltage of 3.7V (extended operating range). This makes the device suitable for automotive systems that need to operate in cranking conditions. Applications include automotive supply systems or other supply systems that are connected to the battery permanently, automotive systems that need to operate in cranking condition, general automotive applications.

- 5V output voltage, ±2% output voltage accuracy
- Output current capability up to 500mA, stable with ceramic output capacitor of 4.7µF
- Overtemperature shutdown, output current limitation, wide temperature range
- Power supply ripple rejection is 55dB typ at (fripple = 100Hz; Vripple = 0.5 Vpp; IQ = 10mA)
- Dropout voltage is 450mV typical at (Vdr = VI - VQ;IQ = 250mA)
- Load regulation steady-state is -5mV typical at (IQ = 0.05mA to 500mA; VI= 7.5V)
- Output current limitation is 750mV typical at (0V < VQ < VQ,nom - 0.1V)
- Junction temperature range from -40°C to 150°C, PG-TO252-3 package
